The unique sacred architectural design of Tirta Spa draws on a blend of diverse Asian cultures and styles which caught the attention of Tirta Spa proprietor, Ms En Calvert, during her travels. Primarily, the influences are Indian, Middle Eastern, Indonesian and Thai, Ms Calvert has taken elements of her own Filipino culture as can be seen in the banig-tikog ceilings, the cogon roofs, the extensive use of indigenous Narra wood, red bricks from Vigan and capiz lights made from local oyster shell. The atmosphere created by the fusion of these different influences will undoubtedly help to calm and warm your soul.
The interiors, from the furniture, drapes and fixtures, to the various Buddhist sculptures and relics reminiscent of ancient temples, complete the spiritually-grounding paradise you truly seek and
deserve.
What distinguishes Tirta Spa is the solid commitment to offer clients not only beautification, but also spiritual
cleansing in an environment of silence and serenity.
A gong sounds as one enters the gates of Tirta Spa,
announcing your arrival and warding off any negativity that might be evident.
Each spa treatment commences with a grounding
ceremony. Therapists will start a gentle massaging of
the feet with rich organic cream to reconnect the
guest with nature and find release from an otherwise anxious and stressed spirit. Then as one lays in surrender on the massage table, a small gong is sounded off anew to drive away negative energies. Soon after, the careful and studied ritual of massaging body muscle in soft, gentle to hard strokes by highly-trained therapists loosens tight muscles and lulls one to blissful peace and off to dreamland.
Perched impressively atop a hill, overlooking the
pristine coastline of crocodile island and the azure blue waters of the Sibuyan sea.
